Hello, my wonderful sisters. Below is the journey the Holy Spirit guided me on. Always remember, above all, to let Him be your guide; He is our helper and is available to each and every one of us.

John 14:16-17

Amplified Bible

Role of the Spirit

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

Humility

You have to be willing to accept that you are a sinner in need of a savior

Often times it requires for us to get to a very low point in our lives to where we start to self reflect and realize we cannot do this life on our own

Peter 5:6

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Repentance

With a heart posture of repentance, you start to acknowledge your flaws and mistakes and develop a desire to turn away from them.

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my faceand turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Submission

Allow God to take control and give Him all your ashes, including your mistakes and flaws. Begin living a life of submission, letting His will prevail over yours. You don't need to fix yourself; come as you are and let the Lord handle the cleansing.

Prayer of salvation, invite the Holy Spirit to dwell in you

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart    and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him,    and he will make your paths straight

Study

It's time to dive into the Word!

Always begin with prayer, asking the Holy Spirit for guidance. If you're unsure where to start, the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—are excellent for understanding the heart of Jesus. Additionally, I recommend Proverbs, as it contrasts the wicked with the holy, offering insight into our own hearts.

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Obedience

As you begin to read and study the word, and as your understanding of God deepens, let the Holy Spirit guide you in areas where it's necessary, and strive to follow His guidance. It's normal to find it challenging initially; remember that it's a journey. Don't be disheartened, as you began to know God's character and your love for Jesus deepens he will transform your heart.

Less striving more abiding

John 15:4

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

My prayer for you is that as you grow in your knowledge of God, you will know that He loves you so much and that nothing you ever do can diminish His love for you, but that it is your love for Him that will transform your life. As your love for Him deepens, your desire to please and obey Him more will follow.

So be gentle with yourself as you allow Jesus to reveal Himself to you through the written Word and however else He chooses. Right now, focus on abiding, spending lots of alone time with Him in prayer and meditation of the Word.

If you have any questions message me.

Sincerely,

Your sister in christ.
